Only 15 minutes from Hamilton is home to Binbrook's Lake Niapenco reservoir, the largest inland lake in the Niagara Watershed. Get in some summer fun at this year round day park that offers a sandy beach, multiple trails for walking and biking, picnic areas, kayaking, canoeing and family fun for everyone. A variety of special events are held all summer long from border pass wake boarding triple crown, Crappie fishing derbies and kids day camps. Attractions include a beach volleyball area, splash pad playground for kids to enjoy and of course lake Niapenco's public beach with a picnic area that has plenty room for lounging and enjoying swimming, boating and fishing. This lecture will examine both the sources, the artistic context and the particularities of Cézanne's technique as seen in his still life's, a genre through which we know he often experimented.
